Great Read
By Pamela K Kinney
Hundred Dollar Bill is set during a Forties--one of my favorite eras. It has a lively heroine, Chloe Lambert, who also happens to be a Secret Service representative operative clandestine to find a counterfeiter ring in a Bureau of Engraving and Printing. She contingency rush when a male she became concerned with and found out is married, is killed by his mother and she is framed for a murder by a counterfeiters. Thanks to assistance from her landlady, she travels to Miami Beach, Florida where she gets a room above a bakery and a pursuit in a bank, counting pennies. The environment competence be glamorous though her life is no longer that. But things change.
She runs into an aged fire and associate agent, Mike Taurus. He doesn't trust she is guilty of murdering anyone or even being treasonous. But others do trust this, including presumably a stream president, Franklin Roosevelt. Mike joins Chloe in a silly try to solve this caper. Worse, there are bad guys after them, and it seems her murdered beloved is not passed as she was lead to believe. Things couldn't get some-more difficult for a favourite and heroine, though this adds some-more fun for a readers.
If we suffer examination a Lucille Ball silly comedies or any of a good mysteries/comedies of a Thirties/Forties, and examination a good romance, afterwards this book is for you. Ms. Morris does a excellent fine pursuit with a storyline and sucks we into it and we don't stop until a HEA end.
