Dec 20 (Reuters) - The OneAsia Tour, a pretender golf
circuit intent in a informal territory fight with a Asian Tour, will
expand from 11 to during slightest 14 events in a fourth deteriorate next
year with a sum esteem pool of $16 million.
"We had 5 events in that initial year, hold 10 tournaments
in 2010, and featured 11 this season. It has been a fast growth
which provides unconstrained opportunities to a members," tour
commissioner Sang Y Chun pronounced in a statement.
"It is also intensely rewarding to theatre events in places
like Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia and we are confident
further additions will be done to a report in 2012."
The tour, shaped by a Australian, Chinese and South Korean
golf associations, opens with a $1 million Indonesia Open from
March 15-18 and includes dual new tournaments in China and
another in Malaysia.
Despite some teething problems a OneAsia Tour has turn a
growing bugbear for Asian Tour arch Kyi Hla Han who has accused
the new circuit of poaching events.
OneAsia officials contend their debate offers a some-more attractive
product for players and that a region's markets and talent
pool are large adequate for dual circuits to co-exist.
