Looks so good, we wish to watch it in delayed motion
By Art
This examination is formed on a "Part 1" front from a box set. we literally can't trust that people are observant that there's no disproportion between this and a DVD version. we had to do a corresponding comparison to make sure, though there's no doubt that this new blu-ray is noticeably some-more minute on a 40" LCD set.
It's also got a noticeably opposite tone balance, in suitability with cinematographer Gordon Willis's strange instructions, that creates it that most some-more baffling that people can't see any difference. In further to a tone difference, there is noticeably some-more detail, generally in darker scenes.
Yes, it's dark; approbation it's grainy. That's a approach it was shot. But if we are any kind of a fan of this movie, we owe it to yourself to see this pleasing new restoration.

This is one of my dual favorite cinema of all time.
By David Zampino
Rarely does a film conduct to demonstrate a energy of a novel from that it was formed -- though "The Godfather" does conduct to do utterly well. Realizing that a whole second territory of a novel could not be fit into a film (but was deftly woven into "The Godfather, partial 2") Puzo and Coppola constructed a film that was remarkably unchanging with a residue of a book (although there are a few 'jumps' in a tract that make some-more clarity to someone also informed with a book). The expel for this design could not presumably be improved -- both in a best Hollywood actors AND in a on-location Sicilian actors comparison for those portions of a film filmed on that island. Brando is ideal as a aging Don, Pacino portrays a inherently dignified though worried Michael intensely well, Caan is ideal as a hot-tempered Sonny, and Robert Duvall, in a best purpose of his career, is superb as Tom Hagen. (And we desired Simonetta Stefanelli as Apollonia)! In further to a essay and a casting, a filming and cinematography was also excellent. Who could ever forget Sonny's murder during a fee booth? And a benediction scene? Classic filmmaking during a best. we can't suggest this design rarely adequate -- nonetheless we would strongly inspire a reading and re-reading of a novel as well.

Better Get a Collection
By James N. Smith
So many reviews rate a film itself that we already know is a classic, though few give any comments on a peculiarity of a DVD. The Paramount Widescreen Collection of this film is indeed a unequivocally bad send that becomes utterly clear in a initial stage that is roughly unintelligible since it is so dim as to describe a pointed opening of Brando unviewable. On my DVD we couldn't even entrance a reward lane with a commentary. Fortunately we usually spent $15 for it, though it unequivocally fueled my enterprise to see a collection that everybody raves about, eventhough we could caring reduction for GF III.
